The edition in 30 seconds
- What it is: the physical Deluxe Edition plus a Wearable Replica Spartan Helmet. Full list on what's in the box.
- Price: no official price as of 2026-10-14; UK retailers list £259.95 and £279.99. See the price guide.
- Where: selected retailers only, while stocks last. See the pre-order guide.
- When: February 4, 2027, or February 5 in some territories including Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Is the Collector's Edition worth it?
It comes down to the helmet. Every other item in the box, from the Steelbook and hardback art book to the Story Expansion DLC, is also in the physical Deluxe Edition. At The Game Collection in the UK, the Collector's Edition costs £165 more than the physical Deluxe Edition as of 2026-10-14.
| Buy it if… | Skip it if… |
|---|---|
| You want a full-scale, wearable Spartan helmet for display or cosplay | You mainly want the game and the story DLC |
| You collect METRO special editions | You need official size, weight and material details first |
| You prefer one box with the game and every extra | You play on PC and want a disc rather than a code |
| You can order early from a selected retailer | You would only buy it above list price from a reseller |
How limited is "limited"?
Deep Silver and 4A Games have used three phrases: "the number of editions will be limited", "available at selected retailers" and "while stocks last". None comes with a number. For comparison, the Metro Exodus Spartan Collector's Edition was sold in "strictly limited supply", while the never-sold Artyom Custom Edition was capped at ten copies. The past editions page has the details.
Common mix-ups
- Deluxe vs Collector's: the Deluxe Edition has no helmet. Both physical editions share the same Steelbook and art book. See the editions comparison.
- Leak vs retail price: €299.99 is a leaked figure from Dealabs, not a price Deep Silver announced.
- Code vs disc: the PC Collector's Edition contains a code-in-box, not a disc.
- Pre-order bonus vs Deluxe extras: every pre-order gets the Specialist Pack; only Deluxe and Collector's buyers get the Story Expansion DLC, art book and soundtrack. See the pre-order bonus.
- Fan site vs official site: this guide is unofficial. The official site is run by Deep Silver.
Before you buy: a short checklist
- Decide whether you want the helmet; if not, the physical Deluxe Edition has everything else.
- Pick your platform: disc on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, code-in-box on PC.
- Order from the retailer's own page and check that the listing names the Wearable Replica Spartan Helmet.
- Read the payment, delivery and cancellation terms before you confirm.
- Keep the box and inserts if resale value matters to you.
